Championing the Payroll Professional with Sage Payroll Solutions

With Christmas 2015 almost upon us and many businesses now winding down activities to a slightly more pedestrian pace, it is sometimes easy to overlook the fact that this is the perhaps the busiest time of year for payroll professionals around the country. Right now, in between Christmas parties and last minute shopping, these payroll professionals are also perhaps starting to get ready for things like,

  • Early pay runs to make sure that cash is in employee bank accounts before Christmas for the last month of the year
  • First weekly pay runs of 2016 so that they may avoid coming into the office over the festive period

  • Getting ready for the changes to 2016 payroll as a result of the budget provisions

This year, thanks to your feedback, we have made improvements to commonly used areas of the Micropay products – namely in the usability around the Payments and Deductions screen and also improved signposting in the reporting to make your payroll processing even more straightforward and intuitive.

We have implemented the necessary changes to the product to enable you to complete your PYE process for the 2015 tax year including the new P35 ROS Layout and improved PYE process screens in Micropay. Additionally, you may also kick off your 2016 payroll, and we are currently delivering your update to allow you to do so in a manner that is completely compliant with the measures enacted in Budget 2016 and the Finance Act (including very recent changes to USC Week 53 calculations).

We are also delighted to be able to offer all our Micropay customers a 25% discount on Corporate Membership of the Irish Payroll Association (IPASS). IPASS membership brings your business a range of benefits including the ability to use the IPASS stamp as a certification of your Payroll compliance & expertise, access to the IPASS legislation hotline for any legislation related Payroll queries, discount on the IPASS Book (widely regarded as the Payroll Professional’s bible) and a range of training courses at a members discount that also carry CPD hours.

Our online help centre has also been getting a make-over throughout 2015 enabling you to find the information quicker and easier than ever before.
